Day 137: Dixon, SD to Corsica, SD (58 miles)

Today, I crossed the Missouri River. Maybe it’s not as massive as thte Mississippi, but I don’t judge. I took a little dip in and am already noticing the differences between East South Dakota and West: there are more white cows, it’s suddenly flatter, there’s more farmland and no open range grazing.

  1. MaryAnn, Now you are in the Midwest, the prarie lands. It’s flat from there until you get over to the Allegheny Mts on the eastern end. That’s why we’re called flat landers. You are truly amazing in your quest, and I’m cheering you on every day. Lenore
