Today, I found out that flying is much faster than bicycling. Above is the view of the gas tanks near where I touched down in Newark, NJ. I’ll be spending the next seven days with family, my boyfriend, and friends. My brother and sister-in-law just had a nephew who I haven’t met, so they arranged with another brother to fly me out to the Tri-state.
Don’t worry–I’ll be back on the bike in a week! I have left all of my stuff in Jackson Hole and will be flying back on the 14th to continue my ride.
As for now, I’ll be continuing Daily Photo’s and trying to upload some video and photos that I haven’t gotten around to. I will also be going through various stages of culture shock. Initial thoughts: Where are the mountains? Since when do people in NJ have pools? Has the NJ Turnpike always had 14 lanes? Is everyone who lives here in various stages of a panic attack at all times, or is it just me?
